Frustrating start but got better. Put up my trusty Slingshot 12 but pulling left and I found one of the bridle pulleys was worn and jamming the line. Luckily I'd just bought two very lightly used 2007 Cabrinha Xbows (9 and 12) on ebay this week so put up the 12m and it flew great. Spent several hours landboarding while waiting for the predicted wind (with quite a few others waiting also). Finally, late in the afternoon wind picked up and everyone rushed for the water. Getting out through the surf was a little bit of a challenge for me but once out in the deeper water had a really good time. First time out in a swell and it was ok. Few wipeouts and got face planted a couple of times but nothing serious and kept the kite out of the water. Retractable leash is just fantastic and saves all the worry of loosing the board further out... Wind died again and most people called it a day. Having packed up the wend really filled in again but thats life...
